Revlon Lip Butter Raspberry Pie

by Viviana

Now I have a few of these but I think I can go as far as to say this is my favourite. I didn’t always love the lip butters from Revlon, I was initially massively disappointed and found them streaky to apply and in no way buttery on the lips.. this was the shade that changed my opinion completely. It turns out it’s just the paler colours that are a bit hit and miss, the bolder shades such as this give good colour in one swipe but can be built up to total saturation with minimal stickiness – as soon as I tried this it was love, oh and it was Christmas time so I was obviously feeling the festive spirit in this that would become a staple day time Winter colour for me.

Like I say the range on the whole isn’t all this awesome, shades such as Strawberry Shortcake and Sweet Tart are low points but there’s this, Sorbet, Wild Watermelon.. oh so many that are worth trying, if you’re interested I will do a full swatch post of my collection but they are the stand outs off the top of my head. Lollipop is also lovely but not the right tone of pink for me.

Raspberry Pie would probably go in my Top 10 all time favourite lipsticks (another potential post) as I’ve worn it to death and although it does need touching up it lasts pretty well considering – I think it’s the waxy texture that seems to adhere better than a creamier formulation. It was that texture that initially I disliked that I’ve come to really love.. strange how our opinions can change so drastically, isn’t it?

What’s your favourite Lip Butter? Or maybe you’re not a fan.. if not don’t give up on them until you’ve tried this!
